Day 3 In Hong Kong - The Peak

The Peak Na!
The Peak is a mall located at the Central, HK. Got its name from its very location, The Peak - situated at the top of the mountain wherein you need to be conveyed in a tram (HK's old mode of transportation) to reach the place.

Before you get into the tram, you'll encounter this famous Bank of China Tower. It was the tallest building in Asia way back 1990. Now, it's the 3rd tallest building in Hong Kong.
Hongkong Tram Station
The ride was a spanking new experience because when you get into the inclined part of the mountain, it feels like you're leaning on your back - almost lying on your chair. The view along the way is a bit scary because you'll see upfront residences while your body is positioned almost perpendicular to the structures outside. Also, the notion of any glitch that can make the vehicle come crashing down backwards in no time (parang final destination lang?...) is disturbing. In the contrary, it was a safe ride! Check The Peak's tram frequency and fare.

Madam Tussaud's is located within the mall where the Tram station is located. You'll see life size wax replicas of popular icons such as James Bond, Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Chan, and many more.
We went to the topmost floor of the mall and we saw a big part of Hong Kong. Beware! Sobrangggg lamig! By the way, kahit saan talaga may Pinoy. We met a guy who happens to live in Tagum City and helped us find a good money changer in a high rate exchange. Matulungin indeed!

Conversely, it breaks my heart to see the gladness in his eyes – like it’s his first time to see a Filipino (Exagge!). When I and my friend went to the comfort room, we were surprised to see him outside waiting for us. It’s like we were inside for more than 15 minutes and yet, he was still there waiting! He even accompanied us back to the tram station. He was very glad to be with his kabababayan’s. Salutes to OFWs!

How To Get To Hong Kong The Peak?
From MTR Central station, make your way to the J2 exit and walk up to the ground level. Turn right, through Chater Garden, cross Queen's Road Central, and make your way up Garden Road. You will pass the Bank of China Tower and Citibank Plaza on your left and St John's Cathedral on your right.

That's all for day 3 in Hong Kong. Gotta get a good night sleep for we are coming to Macau! :)
